Job Description:

The Financial Assistant is responsible for the administration of accounts, reconciliations and processing of refund accounts.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality.
  • Comply with CSAs (Controlled Self-Assessment).
  • Process journals.
  • Assist with compilation of the tax pack.
  • Capture petty cash / cheque requisitions and process on SAP.
  • Perform various tasks as assigned by management.
  • Assist with preparation of audit file.
  • Assist Admin/Finance Manager with month-end and preparation of management reports.
  • Ensure that all Health and Safety regulations are adhered to.
  • Keep Asset Register updated on Excel and process all new additions on SAP.

Job Requirements:

  • 1-2 years finance admin experience would be advantageous
  • Previous administration experience would be advantageous
  • Grade 12 or equivalent NQF Level 4 qualification
  • Diploma in the accounting field

Qualification & Experience:

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Computer literacy – Microsoft Office suite
  • Reconciliation of accounts
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Attention to detail
  • Knowledge of Pastel
  • Processing of refunds
  • Administration of local and international accounts
