Job Description:

To commission and ensure the efficient running / operation of the Oracle databases and server software within Capitec Bank.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in Oracle database administration and design
  • Proven ability to perform both Oracle and operating system performance tuning and monitoring
  • Experience database change management and data management through the various stages of the development life cycle
  • Proven ability to write and understand scripts and PLSQL
  • Proven experience in automating jobs and functions
  • Experience in supporting and maintaining Oracle Golden Gate

Qualification & Experience:

  • 2+ years’ experience in Oracle database administration and design
  • A relevant tertiary qualification in Information Technology – Systems Engineering or Information
  • Technology – Computer Science
  • Grade 12 National Certificate / Vocational
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology – Systems Engineering or Information Technology – Computer Science
