This post is stationed in Cape Town, CBD.
Strategic capability and leadership; Change Management; Translate the vision of the department into Directorate goals; Develop and implement strategies; Participate in the strategic planning process; Ensure compliance is monitored with relevant legislation; Evaluate the performance of the directorate; Successfully implement new initiatives and deliver on service delivery; Project and Programme Management; Ensure the efficient and effective oversight and management for all financial resources and all performance requirements as related to the PFMA and good corporate governance; Management of human resources and ensure sound labour practices.
Maintain extensive knowledge and sound interpretation of applicable policies and procedures; Knowledge of the following: Management principles; Financial Management and sound budgeting; Employee relations; Empowerment (SMME, Broad-based BEE, Women and Disability); Public Service procedures; Programme and Project Management; Strategic Capability and leadership; People Management, planning and empowerment; Change Management; Programme and Project Management; Skills: Human Resource planning; Facilitation and presentation skills; Sound Budgeting skills.
Qualification & Experience:
An appropriate 3-year B-degree/ Advanced Diploma (NQF 7) or higher qualification as recognised by SAQA; A minimum of 6 years relevant middle-management experience; Completion of Certificate for entry into the SMS (Senior Management Service) upon appointment; A valid driving licence.
