Job Description

Minimum Requirements:

• Namibian Citizen;
• 5 -10 Years Finance Management experience;
• Registered Chartered Accountant;
• Asset Management, Banking or insurance industry experience would be beneficial; and
• Must have experience in working at a senior level.

Job Description:

• Accountable for the preparation of financial reports for the business;
• Providing technical assistance to the business and liaising with key stakeholders;
• Being responsible for the financial reporting and management reporting process, including ownership of the annual year-end and interim reporting processes;
• Analysing financial records such as income and expenditure and profitability trends;
• Assisting in, and preparation of, board reporting submissions;
• Responsible for driving business planning and forecasting processes;
• Ensuring compliance with accounting standards as prescribe by the group;
• Ensuring and maintaining of an effective financial control environment in the business;
• Reviewing and monitoring of key account reconciliations across a number of areas;
• Tax planning, reporting and compliance across all tax types;
• Expenditure management and protection of assets;
• Risk and Compliance reporting;
• Guiding systems and process development and ongoing improvements;
• Integrating accounting, tax and investment principles in terms of analysis and interpretation of technical issues;
• Responsible for cash management, monitoring and reporting;
• Ensuring processes, policies and practices are in place to drive business strategic objectives and contributing to finance strategy;and
• Management of the business unit finance team.
