Job Responsibilities:
- Performing several job-related administrative duties
environmental health issues within the sub-district - Initiating and coordinating community involvement regarding
- Identifying, planning and implementing appropriate environmental health projects in informal settlements.
- Accountability for Environmental Health functions (including Water Quality Management, Food Control, Health Surveillance of premises,
- Environmental Pollution Control, Vector Control, Surveillance & Prevention of Communicable Diseases, Disposal of the Dead, Chemical Safety and Waste Management).
- Enforcing legislation, Council policies and by-laws relevant to environmental health
Job Requirements:
- Valid Code B driver’s licence
- Registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa for Independent Practice
- Prepared to work on weekends and at night if required
- 3-year tertiary qualication Environmental Health
- 1 year’s completed Community Service in Environmental Health
