Purpose of the position

The COVID DQUO will oversee reporting for the district, which include to support the COVID Data Clerks in the form of data collection, verification, back capturing, mentorship and in-service training and implementation of new systems, processes and procedures to improve data quality dimensions (Accuracy, Reliability, Completeness, Precision/Consistency, Timeliness, Integrity/Validity, accessibility, Confidentiality) within a facility and sub-district.

The COVID DQUO will liaise closely with the BroadReach National M&E department and COVID Coordinator for timely and accurate submission of reports.

Key Accountabilities

  • Data quality reporting requirements (collection, reporting forms/registers/systems and tools)
  • Capacity building of COVID Teams (Indicator definition, SOPs, Data management processes)
  • Data quality/Integrity mechanisms and controls for continues improvement (QIP, verification tools, nerve center information meetings)
  • Stakeholder management
  • Links with district/national and other reporting systems
  • Oversee storing soft copies on SharePoint and hard copies in a chronological filing system.
  • Complete DQA Tool and monitor mobile teams QIP that its being actioned.
  • Responsible for Quality Assurance of all submission sending up to national level.
  • Responsible for TA support to Data clerks through visits conducted and complete relevant M&E tools during site visits.

Qualifications

Essential qualifications

  • 2 years’ experience in data/information management in a Health environment
  • Knowledge of DOH major policy directives and signature programs
  • Knowledge of the public health system / Health systems awareness
  • Ability to prioritise and meet deadlines
  • Data Management Skills within health setting
  • Computer literacy (excel pivot tables)
  • Numerical reasoning
  • Entry level analytics/ monitoring and evaluation
  • Facilitation and mentoring/capacity building

Desirable Qualifications

  • M&E and or Data Management qualification or Administrative qualification linked with 2 years relevant health data management experience

Experience & Skills
