Job Description:

In terms of the Sanlam Group Governance Policy, SDM is managed by the SA Retail Mass cluster, which is part of the Sanlam Life and Savings cluster within the Sanlam Group. The cluster focusses on retail porducts, as well as group schemes.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain SOPS
  • Develop and monitor a credit control system in collaboration with sales, and overall Team goals and objectives.
  • Report and follow up on payment issues to all Stakeholders and implement plans to monitor and track outstanding dues.
  • Identify problem areas and trends, propose resolution and prevention
  • The creation and maintenance of facility records on FAFA,
  • Review and manage data for correct accruals
  • Escalate to Key accounts to be involved with collections / facility visits
  • Reconcile Due versus Receipts at facility level and contact pay-points to collect outstanding premiums and or schedules
  • Linking of new scheme set ups to allow for Billing
  • Establish policies that follow customer service best practices while ensuring customers submit payments on time.
  • Reduction of Ombuds queries
  • Facility management as well as Lodgements of new business
  • Analysis of root cause complaints and implement fixes

Qualification & Experience:

  • Matric (Grade 12)
  • Computer skills
  • Well developed communication (written & verbal) skills
  • Experience in the Financial Sector
  • Accounting accreditation (Not compulsory)
  • Advanced MS Office (Excel, Access, PowerPoint)
  • At least 3 years relevant experience in a financial collections’ environment of which One year in a supervisory role
