Job Description:

RCL Foods Chicken Animal Feed Division is recruiting for highly motivated and passionate individuals to serve as General Worker – Artisan Assistant at our site based in Worcester in the Western Cape. The purpose of the role is to assist Artisans with daily maintenance and construction work. Candidates residing in the Worcester region will receive preference.

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform ad hoc tasks as required by Mill operations and/or designated by Mill Management.
• Manually grease pellet mill rollers at every shift
• Assist artisan overhauling and assembling equipment
• Do mechanical/electrical/plate work maintenance
• Check sump pumps at minus one at every shift
• Adhere to safety rules and regulations
• Factory lighting
• Do daily line inspections and give feedback
• React timeously to breakdowns

Job Requirements:

• Basic hand tools experience
• Physically fit – able to carry 50kg bags
• Basic Computer literacy
• Willing to work shifts and overtime as operationally required
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment – minimum of 6 months.
• Grade 12
