Line Manager: Financial Manager

Job Specification:

Key Performance Areas:

  • Establish and maintain Financial Analysis tools relating to Sales, Marketing, Operations, Logistics, and other functional areas
  • Validation of data accuracy through comparison/ reconciliation with alternative data sources
  • Identify, investigate, highlight and comment on relevant trends and variances
  • Investigate, analyze and report on relevant issues prioritized by the Financial, Marketing, Sales & Operations Executives when required
  • Articulate information to relevant stakeholders in a consistent and user-friendly format
  • Engage in Projects aimed at improving delivery relevant to this Key Performance Area
  • Manage the integrity of SAP & BI from a Sales perspective
  • Includes maintenance of hierarchies in both systems
  • Insightful analysis & interpretation of reports required for publishing
  • Key role player in pricing and margin setting & analysis
  • Price maintenance in SAP
  • Loading list price changes into SAP, for both group and national customers
  • Load discounts into SAP
  • Cost maintenance in SAP
  • Liasing with purchasing department to update costs of equipment, spares and bought-out materials
  • Liasing with the factory on cost of manufactured materials
  • Key personnel to run the cost set process
  • Key role player in the budgets and forecasts
  • Compiling projections of volumes, price, cost of sales & discounts
  • Manage and report on off take monitoring
  • Identify, through the use of tools, idle performing assets
  • Compile Customer Profitability’s on a monthly & Ad hoc basis
  • Regular revision of assumptions for cost allocations required for profitability analysis
  • Commercial reviews for price negotiations for Customers
  • Post implementation commercial reviews of Projects/Deals
  • Price Lists by Channel rationalization
  • Managing Budget & forecast price targets and reporting
  • Ad hoc financial and analytical report requirements on a national basis

Minimum Requirements:

Experience:

  • Completed SAIPA OR SAICA Articles
  • 1 – 2 years financial/accounting/Business Analyst role
  • Equipment and Customer Service environment experience an advantage

Qualifications:

  • Completed Financial Degree

Additional Requirements:

  • Advanced Excel
  • BI tools experience an advantage
  • SAP experience
