Job Description:

To provide technical support and advice to the Operations and clients about the implementation of, training on, and marketing of the Axxis Digital Detonator System.

Job Responsibilities:

• To provide technical support and advice to the Operations and clients about the implementation of, training on, and marketing of the
• Axxis Digital Detonator System.
• Write blast report writing as per requirements
• Promoting a safety conscious culture and ensuring adherence to all legislation.
• Conduct and evaluate blast results using databases, instrumentation, blasting software’s (e.g. BME BlastMap software)
• To assist with all the relevant training and risk management documentation
• Ensuring compliance with Mine Health and Safety Act and adherence to stipulated disciplines for continuous improvement of
• occupational Safety, Health, Environment, Risk and Quality that impact on the organisation.

Job Requirements:

• Intermediate skills in Ms Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) Technical skills in blast designs
• Research capability and skill
• Ability to analyse scientific data

Qualification & Experience:

• 2 years demonstrated experience in AXXIS mining technology or equivalent.
• Code 10 Drivers License.
• Blasting assistant competency (Would be beneficial).
• Bachelor’s degree in Mining/Engineering or equivalent
• 2 years demonstrated experience in surface blasting
• Blasting Ticket/ Competency B.
• Grade 12
• 2 years demonstrated experience in mining / explosives environment
