Job Description:

To manage all the quality matters at the UDL

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and update the Quality Manual annually
  • Liaise with NWU Internal Audit office about all audits
  • Plan and implement internal self-evaluation
  • Coordinate all Process Manuals for all the sections at the UDL
  • Manage surveys
  • Visit all Open Distance Learning centres, whether UDL Learning Support Centres or UDL Examination Centres.
  • Liaise with Faculties
  • Develop questionnaires
  • Liaise with Centre for Teaching and Learning
  • Liaise with managers about all quality matters at the UDL
  • Analyse data
  • Plan and implement external evaluations
  • Liaise with and assist Faculties during internal and external evaluations
  • Report about data

Job Requirements:

  • Efficient computer skills
  • Good conflict handling skills
  • Good listening ability and relationship with colleagues
  • Ability to function under pressure
  • Proven experience in research
  • Able to function in a team
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to provide guidance in higher education environment
  • Written and spoken language skills in at least Afrikaans and English (3rd language a recommendation)

Qualification & Experience:

  • Bachelor Honours Degree (NQF level 8) is essential.
  • Master’s degree is desirable.
  • Experience in interpretation of education policy
  • 5 years experience in higher education area
  • Experience in writing research reports
  • Experience in quality assurance in Higher Education environment
  • Experience in qualitative and quantitative research
