Job Responsibilities:
- Providing professional input into the drafting of bid specifications, general and special conditions.
- Coordinating meetings with management, internal and external clients as well as drafting letters and reports.
- Coordinating and controlling the implementation of systems related to the receiving, updating and recording of transactional I operational information and activities associated with the procurement function.
- Responding to enquiries and requests for services from clients with regard to SCM issues.
- Analysing information on the systems to ensure that the right stock levels as well as the performance of suppliers and take corrective action where needed to ensure availability of stock.
- Ensuring that turnaround times are met by embarking on key quality improvement projects in support of ensuring service excellence to stakeholders
- Analysis of Market related prices and conducting industry analysis for specific commodities.
- Ensuring bid documents for legal compliance, completeness and accuracy and give relevant advice to line management as well as checking on the verification and pre qualification of persons/ companies participating in the quotation process.
- Guiding Line departments on compliance obligations and giving advice to project managers with regard to CIDB processes and requirements and conditions of contracts.
Job Requirements:
- MFMA minimum competence training for SCM officials (if not in possession of this qualification, must be acquired within 12 months from commencement of service.
- At least 3 – 5 years’ experience in a procurement
- B-degree I National Diploma in SCM or related field
- Ability to work under extreme pressure – result driven
- Computer Literacy- MS Office Applications
- Professional knowledge of SCM business processes & Practice.
- Good planning, organising and interpersonal skills
