Job Description:

To develop models, tools and processes to support electricity sales and demand forecasting  for each identified customer segment  in the South African electricity industry

Job Responsibilities:

• International, national and local market intelligence
• Facilitate the development of strategy, techniques and tools for future forecasting
• Research new trends affecting load growth
• Highlight significant trends or events
• Provide Business Support
• Development of long-term distribution sales and demand forecast (10–20-year period)

Job Requirements:

• Excellent oral, written and presentation skills
• Assertiveness combined with Excellent oral, written and presentation skills
• Excellent computer literacy and data manipulation and analysis skills
• Ability to perform long term forecasts using appropriate techniques, e.g., S-curve fitting, scenario planning
• Good understanding of Eskom business processes and sales forecasting processes
• Good understanding of South African regulatory environment and grid code requirements
• Ability to mathematically model and simulate different load applications

Qualification & Experience:

• Professional Registration Body: ECSA
• BEng Industrial Engineering/BSc (Eng) Electrical Engineering/BSc Statistics/operation Research/ Economics/ Tech Electrical Engineering.
• 7 Years’ related Experience in application of forecasting, models, and tool
