Job Description:

St Alban’s College, one of South Africa’s leading independent boys’ high schools, seeks to employ a Mathematics intern for a flexible/part time position. The position is an opportunity for an intern educator who is extremely passionate, talented, and creative and who will foster enthusiasm for mathematics and maintain a high standard of achievement.

Job Requirements:

• The use and integration of technology into the classroom is an essential criterion
• Have a willingness to become involved in the life of the school
• A passion for education and the desire to motivate and stimulate higher-order thinking
• An ability to contribute to the extra-curricular program within the school would be an advantage
• Must be SACE registered
• Excellent communication skills and classroom management
• Competence in terms of computer literacy – especially Google docs, sheets, and classroom
• be knowledgeable of current educational trends in mathematics education and understanding
• Be a committed, dynamic educationalist, with an innovative use of technology to enhance learning and have a practical approach to the subject
• Have well-developed interpersonal and communication skills
