Job Responsibilities:

• Preserving assets by implementing disaster recovery and back-up procedures and information security and control structures.
• Managing the LogIT system.
• Maintaining, and resolving issues on, LAN/WAN, VoIP telephone, biometric, video systems and other computing equipment.
• Maintaining and supporting the WiFi infrastructure at Cornwall Hill College.
• Establishing network by evaluating network performance issues including availability, utilisation, throughput, output, and latency; planning and executing the selection,
• installation, configuration, and testing of equipment; defining network policies and procedures and documenting as such; establishing connections and firewalls.
• Preparing users by designing and conducting training programmes; providing references and support.
• Securing network by developing network access, monitoring, control, and evaluation; maintaining documentation. Updating Antivirus software on a regular basis.
• Maintaining network performance by performing network monitoring and analysis, and performance tuning; troubleshooting network problems; escalating problems to vendor.
• Establishing network specifications by conferring with users; analysing workflow, access, information, and security requirements; designing router administration,
• including interface configuration and routing protocols.

Job Requirements:

• Must function in a team, and have sound interpersonal skills to work with professional staff.
• Willingness to work overtime and on weekends when required.
• Knowledge and experience of Server maintenance required.
• Working experience of Sage Software, Clearpass and Aruba switches will be advantageous.
• N+ Certified, at least 2 years’ experience in Microsoft environment.
• Network Performance Tuning, LAN Knowledge, Network Design and Implementation, Problem Solving, Strategic Planning, Multi-tasking, Quality Focus, Co-ordination,
• Technical Understanding, Quick Study, Technical Zeal.
