Job Description:

Our client is a leading OEM who are currently seeking a currently seeking a Compensation Manager to join their team. This role reports to the HR Manager – Centre of Excellence. The main purpose of this job is to implement the organization’s reward strategy so that its compensation and benefits outcomes meet current and future business needs and are consistent with the organization’s desired internal and external market position.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Devise, manage and implement a common C&B strategy for all Business Areas in sync with the business environment.
  • Develop and review all remuneration-related policies (e.g. leave, retirement funds, medical aid, housing, cellphones, company vehicles, etc.)
  • To be a strong contributor to the development of new compensation strategies through creative inputs combined with data analysis and a deep understanding of the company’s future challenges.
  • Design, evaluate and modify benefits policies to ensure that programs are current, and competitive in respect to the internal and external environment and in compliance with legal, taxation rules requirements, and Industry Trends
  • Design and Review various incentive programmes
  • Develop methods to improve C&B policies, processes, and practices, and recommend changes to management.
  • Establish and chair the Job Evaluation Committee
  • Implement the organization’s reward strategy so that its compensation and benefits outcomes meet current and future business needs and are consistent with the organization’s desired internal and external market position.
  • Alignment of remuneration and benefits
  • EE legislation, employment, and compensation law, and Tax knowledge
  • Analyze statistical data and reports to identify and benchmark the current practices in the industry.

Job Requirements:

  • Knowledge of Rem & Ben in Africa, not just within South Africa
  • 5 – 10 years of experience in a managerial role
  • 8 -10 years’ experience in Remuneration, benefits, rewards, payroll, pension, retirement, risk, medical aid, etc.
  • Personality traits include attention to detail, work under pressure, strong interpersonal skills, problem solving
  • Registration with SARA
  • Relevant Remuneration Qualification or BCom Degree in Human Resources Management
  • Advanced computer literacy
  • Must be a payroll expert
