Job Responsibilities:
Provide strategic and innovative leadership within the Faculty of Health Sciences and Gauteng Province. Manage services, staff and resources in the Department of Family Medicine. Academic and clinical support of consultants and other medical professionals in the Department of Family Medicine. Manage academic and professional training in the Department of Family Medicine and District. Initiate, support and publish research projects in primary care. Implementation of quality assurance / improvement projects in the health district. Lead community orientated primary care initiatives in South West Tshwane.
Job Requirements:
Registered with HPCSA as a Specialist Family Physician. A basic Medical Degree (MBChB or equivalent). Post graduate qualification in Family Medicine (MMed or equivalent) with at least 3-years’ experience as a Specialist Family Physician, including management experience. Research experience and a record of academic and professional leadership recognised by peers. Evidence of postgraduate student supervision and proven track record of accredited publications.
