GPG Jobs – Nursing Assistant

Job Responsibilities:

Measure, interpret and record vital signs, give health education, sustain nutritional status of patients. Prepare for diagnostic and surgical procedures and provide elementary nursing care by assisting with daily living such as good hygiene, nutrition and maintenance of good comfort under supervision of professional nurse and within the scope of practice as defined by SANC. Escort patients for clinical procedures. Demonstrate basic understanding of nursing legislation and related legal ethical nursing practices.

Job Requirements:

Requirements: Grade 12 or equivalent, One (1) year Nursing Assistant Certificate that allows registration with South African Nursing Council (SANO. Current registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as Nursing Assistant. Proof of SANC receipt (2022). Knowledge of Nursing care processes and procedures, nursing statute and other relevant legal framework such as: Nursing Act, health Act, Occupational Health and Safety Act, Batho Pele Principles, Patients’ rights Charter and Responsibilities
