Job Responsibilities:

Assess the need for community based oral health service. Provide an integrated comprehensive inter-disciplinary oral health service. Secure and all allocated resources needed for the rendering of oral health promotion and specific protection. Provide reports on service delivery. Responsible for development, tutoring and appraisal of oral hygienist. Support the rendering of clinical services in the clinics and the use of portable equipment. Ensures effective service delivery by direct supervision, manuals and service protocols. Training and orientation of newly appointed oral hygienists. Execute/assist/participate in research projects and surveys. Responsible for development and manufacturing process of informative and educational material where needed to support oral health promotion and specific protection action

Job Requirements:

A degree/diploma in oral Hygiene including Expanded Functions. Registration as Health Therapist (Oral Hygiene) with the HPCSA, Good writing and communication skills. Valid driver’s license. Minimum of 20 year’s Experience in community oral Health will be an advantage. The most recent proof of registration of HPCSA. Must be computer literate. NB: FLEXIBILITY IN BEING ALLOCATED TO ANY OF THE SUB-DISTRICT IN WEST RAND.
