Co-ordination of the budgeting and planning portfolio. Management of the revenue and expenditure portfolio. Co-ordination of the reporting portfolio. Participate in committees/forums/working groups. Manage and control the workflow of subordinates. Attend to and respond to audit queries. Ensure the requirements of the Public Finance Management Act and Treasury Regulations as well as Departmental Financial Policies and Procedures are adhered to.
An NQF level 6 qualification in Finance/Financial Management or Accounting. At least three (3) years’ experience in budget analysis environment at Senior State Accountant or equivalent. A valid driving license Skills: Computer skills (MS Word, Excel, Good communication skills, strong analytical skills, report writing skills and proven interpersonal skills. Competencies: Knowledge of Basic Accounting System (BAS). Knowledge and experience in SAP will be an added advantage. Working knowledge of Public Service Regulations, Public Finance Management Act, Treasury. Regulations, and Division of Revenue Act. Ability to work independently and with a team.
