Job Description:

To provide strategic financial advice, consulting and assurance service to Eskom and its related businesses to optimize and sustain shareholder value. This compromises the following key activities, investment/ project evaluation and analysis, business val

Job Responsibilities:

• Formulate investment procedures and provide an assurance role in the formulation of other policies and procedure with aim of minimizing any negative financial implications on Eskom
• Provide corporate finance advice and consulting service, through transaction structuring of new investment which also at the time involves working with external advisor
• Develop implement and monitor organizational performance measurements
• Review and interrogate investment proposals and financial models with the aim of providing assurance to the Board and Exco and their sub committee that proposed investment are sound and meet required financial criteria
• Provide financial advice and assurance to Board and Exco Investment Committees on the calculations of new pricing methodologies and ensure that such methodologies are sustainable from financials and business perspective
• Provide key financial inputs in negotiation (e.g., fuel, power purchase agreement, etc.)
• Manage the implementation of the investment strategy for Eskom Holding Ltd.
• Provide assurance to Eskom Board and Exco Investment Committees that all Eskom divisions and subsidiaries comply with investment procedure and policies
• Perform financial due diligence exercise where necessary
• Function as a member of various Division Investment and Pricing Community

• Knowledge taxation as it applies to the business and investor under consideration

Qualification & Experience:

• Financial qualifications, Post Graduate qualifications (e.g., Chartered Accountant, master’s in financial management, MBA or equivalent
• 5 years related experience
