Job Description:
To timeously acquire real rights in line with Eskom’s build programme and applicable procedures/ legislation
Job Responsibilities:
- Determine market related Land Valuations from Land Valuers
- Cadastral and Title Deed Investigation to determine legal boundaries of land parcels on which Transmission assets must be situated and the legally registered land owners from whom the land and or rights must be acquired
- Ensuring correct documentation and practices for Eskom and Land Owner approval thus ensuring Secured land Rights
- Power line route positioning in conjunction with other Transmission parties to ensure an economically efficient, acquirable route
- Desk top study to determine possible route, land usage and values to compile estimates and project scheduling for future projects
- Negotiations with Legally registered land owners, land occupiers and land trustee to reach a win -win settlement for Eskom and land owner in the acquisition of land and or rights also to acquire approval from Statutory bodies for the crossing of their services
- Consultation with Eskom Corporate Legal and NER to apply for Expropriations for Land Rights where required
Job Requirements:
- Anthropology Skills
- L&R Standards and Procedure Understanding and Knowledge
- Experience in the Survey General office System
- Knowledge of Environmental Legislation and Science
- Knowledge of and Experience with the Expropriation Act
- Knowledge of Contract and Deeds Law
- Experience in the Deeds Office System
- Negotiation Skills
- Knowledge of Cost Benefit and Financial Analysis
- Basic Knowledge of Engineering
Qualification & Experience:
- 5 Years Post Qualification experience in Land & Rights
- B Degree / B Tech Land Survey/Town & Regional Planning / Real Estate / Geology / Legal / Environmental Sciences at NQF 7 with 360 Credits.
