Job Description:

To establish and maintain occupational hygiene and safety processes within the framework of legislation, international standard for occupational health and safety management systems (ISO) 45001, standards, procedures, systems and processes according to BU

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide professional advice and guidance with respect to occupational hygiene and safety for employees, contractors/suppliers, customers and members of the public
• Develop, implement and monitor occupational hygiene and safety standards, procedures, systems and processes
• Analyse and assess business unit needs regarding occupational hygiene and safety risks, implement and monitor control measures
• Implement, enhance and maintain occupational hygiene safety and health programs within the parameters of legal requirements, international organisation for standardisation (ISO) 45001 standards and best practices
• Ensure legislation and business risks created by incidents are managed
• Facilitate multi-functional disciplinary work groups to compile risk specific occupational hygiene and safety assessments
• Develop and advise on implementation and evaluation of occupational hygiene and safety management processes for contractors, suppliers or projects

Qualification & Experience:

• 3 years’ experience related experience
• N Diploma/B Tech / B Degree in Environmental Health/ Safety Management / Sciences/ Management at NQF Level 6 with 240 credits
