Job Description:

To ensure the safety of personnel and plant through detailed safe operating and network management on the Grid up to 765 Kilovolt (KV) and generation power stations on a 24-hour basis

Job Responsibilities:

• Manage dispatching
• Ensures customer satisfaction with respect to co-ordination of unplanned field services work
• Optimises resources utilisation to ensure business efficiency
• Prioritise unplanned field work
• Prevent unsafe acts and conditions from endangering people and animals

• Knowledge: Value Chain and business processes, Real time dynamics of the electricity delivery networks, Interconnected power systems, Relevant guidelines, standards, procedures, and regulations, Contingency and emergency plans, Protection schemes and operation of electricity delivery terminology, Operating regulations for high voltage systems (ORHVS), South African telecommunications and electrical power supply authority (SATEPSA) and other customer agreements where appropriate

Qualification & Experience:

• Relevant experience in a Control Centre, Distribution, Transmission field.
• Years: 3 years
• Electrical at NQF 6 with 240 credits
• National Diploma/ National N Diploma
