Job Responsibilities:

  • Engineered Solutions: Identify, analyse & develop value-adding solutions for current & prospective clients;
  • Business cases / feasibility studies: Develop as required depending on financial investment required and risk profile. Tools and aspects to consider include ROI
  • calculations, quantified value, opportunity for productivity improvements and future growth / revenue potential
  • Analysis and recommendations: 1) Data (analysis, comparison, sense checking), 2) Processes (supporting business objectives, complete, accurate, relevant, error proofed, common exceptions covered, measurable), 3) Facilities (best practices, flow, flexibility, compliance);
  • Problem Solving
  • Tools: Application of the following tools and/or methodologies as appropriate and when required:
  • Continuous Improvement Management: Manage and Report on Cost Saving and Sigma Initiatives
  • SIGMA: Identify and Implement SIGMA Initiatives
  • Qualitative flow measurement
  • Sales Support: Assist with ‘technical selling’ to clients and with the development & documenting of proposals, response to tenders, RFQs & RFPs;
  • Procurement tender adjudication

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum five years or more relevant logistics & supply chain management experience
  • Detail oriented, high work rate & quality of work
  • SIGMA experience: Minimum 3 years in the Logistics Industry
  • Route Optimization: Minimum 3 years in route planning and OptimizationSupply Chain Optimization
  • Leadership experience in Project or Operations role: Minimum 2 years with effective staff performance management & development
  • TMS Systems Skills and experience: Minimum 3 years
  • Industrial Engineering experience: Minimum 3 years in the logistics Industry
  • WMS/ERP Systems Skills and experience: Minimum 2 years operational experience, development experience will be advantageous

Qualification & Experience:

  • ERP Systems, AUTOCAD (Basic),
  • Microsoft Access
  • Microsoft Visio and Project
  • E-Mail and Internet practicality
  • MS Office Suite – Advanced Level
  • SQL Advanced
  • SharePoint skill
  • TMS (Transport Management System)
