Job Description:

The Group’s key business segments are Manufacturing and Commercial Pharmaceuticals comprising Regional Brands and Sterile Focus Brands. Job Responsibilities:

• Develop a high-performance work culture and ethic
• Actively participate in the Group Senior Finance Forum and ensure that new ways of workings/methodologies are embedded in the local team
• Drive strong cash flow improvements and work closely with Group Treasury
• Assume accountability and manage projects required by the Group CEO, Regional CEO or other Executive Committee members
• Ensure job profiles are up to date
• Provide regular feedback and ensure performance management reviews are performed
• Legal: Lead, advise ad provide oversight to the Legal function/team to ensure that Pharmacare Limited’s legal and compliance risks and effectively managed at all times.
• Oversee margin improvements through robust analysis and review with the Commercial business
• Ensure that talent mapping and planning is in place for all individuals identified as talent. Regularly engage with HR on the retention strategies for talent

Job Requirements:

• Good interpersonal and communication skills (verbal & written), able to function well as a member of a senior executive team
• Energetic, enquiring mind, self-motivated, with good problem-solving skills, initiative and a passion for service excellence
• Strong focus on attention to detail, high sense of urgency and deadline driven
• A commercially astute, business-minded, operationally oriented individual who is profit driven with bottom-line awareness
• Highly numerate with strong analytical abilities
• Persistent, continuously probing and challenging the commercial status quo, able to interrogate the business processes and trading terms
• Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment

Qualification & Experience:

• 5 senior management experience
• 10 years finance and commercial finance
• Chartered Accountant (SA)
• Experience in working at an Executive level (and with other Executive’s/an Executive team) is essential
• Broad understanding of legal and tax implications
