Job Responsibilities:

  • Participate in, and / or lead risk assessments, HAZOPs, incident investigations and process deviation investigations which occur within the production engineers designated area of responsibility.
  • Manage employee Training, development and on-the-job performance within compliance to company SHE, GMP, HR and other regulations whilst maintaining high standards of discipline.
  • Managing and controlling budgets, capital expenditure and continuous improvement projects within the department.
  • Ensure that all facilities are managed and operated within compliance to the required SHE regulations.
  • Manage all production related resources including but not limited to process equipment, materials handling equipment, utilities, clean rooms, production personnel, materials, reagents, solvents etc to achieve production process parameters, planned product specifications, yields and final production outputs within specified time, safety and quality requirements.
  • Implement systems and procedures in production as required by new processes, equipment and regulations and ensure that the current systems and procedures are followed and maintained.
  • Ensure that all manufacturing facilities and equipment comply with and operate within the cGMP and quality frameworks specified in the ICH guidelines (most notably ICH Q7), FDA CFR 21 Parts 210 & 211 as well as any other specific regulations required by the global pharmaceutical community and systems specific to FCC.
  • Participate in sustainability, continuous improvement and process optimization projects as delegated.

  • A good administrator with the ability to develop, read, review and write reports.
  • Must be able to work within structured systems and to defined timelines.
  • Must have the ability to remain calm under pressure, focus on the task at hand, persevere and stay the distance.
  • Technically competent with the ability to manage, motivate, develop and train staff within the department.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate at all levels within the organization.
  • A person who is meticulous, who applies a high level of attention to detail whilst continuing to deliver on schedule.
  • Must be enterprising and good at initiating action whilst ensuring their team maintain compliance to product quality and plant and operator safety standards / requirements.
