Job Description:
We are seeking a Principal Programme Office and Discipline Excellenceto lead the SD PMO, ensuring a focus on the right things, strong alignment with the business, delivery on commitments and appropriate management of risks to enable a high performing SD discipline.
Job Responsibilities:
- Establish and implement management routines to monitor the execution and implementation of SD programs to ensure the delivery of the SD goals and strategy.
- Develop and maintain an operating master schedule (OMS).
- Coordinate the overall annual budget and reforecast processes.
- Provide oversight of Group SD program of work and monitor interdependences within the respective teams.
- Rigor, decision making and process are in place to support innovation expenditure and capital expenditure.
- Anticipate bottlenecks in the overall program and proactively implement positive solutions.
- Create and embed effective compliance governance processes for SD.
- Review project costings.
- Manage the coordinated delivery of the global portfolio of work and embed operating model principles for planning, scheduling, risk management and performance
- reporting against milestones and budgets.
Qualification & Experience:
- A general understanding of compliance standards (safety, health, environment, regulatory & financial) applicable to the role, including mine safety regulations
- Relevant degree qualification.
- Diploma in Project Management or confirmed competency through a recognised project management body. (Project Management Institute, Prince etc.) is highly desirable.
- Program, project and change management from within a Safety & Sustainable Development environment
- A high level of technical and business acumen to balance priorities, problem solve, manage risk and clearly communicate status, technical content and requirements.
