Job Description:
We produce high-grade iron ore, the key component in steel widely used in construction and manufacturing across the world. Our activities include all aspects – exploration; mining; processing and blending; shipping; marketing and selling. In South Africa, we have mining operations in the Northern Cape province, as well as a head office in Centurion, Gauteng, and a port operation in Saldanha Bay, Western Cape.
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage vendor managed inventory (VW) suppliers/ contractors from a contractual point to ensure compliance to contractual terms and to maximise their outputs in order to deliver in line with the Key Performance Indicators as captured in the contract agreement.
- Coordinate warranty management solution regarding recoveries and claims and SLA adherence
- Manage the disposal function and ensure strict adherence to governance prior disposal of any items i.e Supply chain, Policy, delegation of authority, etc.
- Coordinate the drafting, incorporation of Service Level Agreements (SLAs) into onsite service Providers contracts
- Proactively manage compliance to SLAs by establishing early warning tools that ensures inventory visibility and manage deviations in line with the contract.
- Ensure efficient management of onsite suppliers to effectively execute best practice inventory management, e.g.: ensuring that the right items are in the right places in the right quantities and quality at the right time. This shall include but not limited to revising the VIO composition in line with the business strategy and consumption trends.
- Tyre, Ferro Silicon, Fuel and Lubes Managements (High Volume Consumables) – Execute physical supply chain functions in relation to the management of high value consumables on site.
Qualification & Experience:
- Grade 12/N3
- Experience in using eProcurement Management Experience
- Knowledge and understanding of Supply Chain concepts (Strategic Sourcing techniques and TCO analysis)
- Valid Driver’s Licence
- At least 3 years minimum experience in supply chain management
- NQF7 in Finance or Supply Chain Management
