Job Description:

Set the standards, support sites and build operational competence to implement / maintain and continually improve our maintenance & asset management performance in the resource industry materials handling environment.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Continual improvement strategies and initiatives for plant / equipment arising from best practice monitoring, AS&R Roadmap Assessments, assurance activities, investigations and work management processes – performance feedback, A&I and DE
  • External monitoring of standards, best practices and technologies
  • Set and maintain the minimum guidelines for precision maintenance (e.g. specifications, tolerances) for fleet / fixed plant & infrastructure maintenance within the materials handling environment and create templates
  • for assurance review processes
  • Monitor and review operational performance materials handling related plant equipment across Group-wide operations
  • Provide SME input to AS&R strategies, tactics, work-packages and task lists to ensure effective and efficient maintenance management for materials handling plant equipment (e.g. crushers, screens, conveyors, stockyard equipment, ship-loaders, etc).
  • Thought-leader, technical expert and first point of reference for leading practice and emerging technology to optimise operations & maintenance in the resources sector materials handling environment
  • Maintain currency of the relevant sections of the AS&R Roadmap and supporting documents and tools as well as standards, guidelines, tactics and specifications

Job Requirements:

  • Working within a technical support team providing assistance to operations
  • Experience with significant plant outages / rebuilds / interventions
  • Experience in the operation & maintenance of materials handling plant and equipment in the large scale resource mining / processing environment.. Experience within the hard rock sector is preferred.

Qualification & Experience:

  • A proven track record of extensive practical experience in a role and context of similar complexity
  • An undergraduate engineering qualification (Bachelors / Honours degree or equivalent) in a relevant technical discipline (preferred).
  • A postgraduate qualification in asset management (desirable)
