Job Description

The HR Consultant: Talent Acquisition will manage a regional team of recruiters to deliver the end-to-end recruitment service to ensure delivery of our monthly & yearly budgeted hires.

The primary accountabilities will be to:

  • Develop and lead the Talent Acquisition recruitment team to be passionate about providing a superior candidate and Hiring Manager experience
  • Ensure operational excellence to meet all talent acquisition business needs
  • Execute the Talent Acquisition recruitment strategy as defined by the Talent Acquisition CoE.
  • Maintain governance across the recruitment process in line with the Talent Acquisition Policies and Frameworks.

This role is responsible to develop and deliver a targeted segment TA strategy across all grades through team management & effective stakeholder management. The role also requires the incumbent to generate comprehensive sourcing and analytics strategies to support and provide insight to the segment’s TA team and stakeholders.

Commercial

  • Responsible for the management and delivery of all aspects of the end-to-end recruitment for the Region to achieve delivery targets and SLAs by providing team objectives, direction, and continuous feedback on progress.
  • Ensure the recruitment team are right-sized to deliver operational excellence, based on workforce planning information from managers and business units
  • Develop accurate hiring forecasts in partnership with your designated Business Unit
  • Build a deep understanding of the team’s productivity to enable effective resource management
  • Ensure that an experienced focused, value-add approach to the operational delivery of the service is at the heart of everything the team delivers
  • Work with the relevant HC team and the Talent Acquisition CoE to drive continuous improvement activities to reduce time to fill, cost per hire and increase candidate and hiring manager experience
  • Review impacts of proposed projects/changes on processes because of change requests
  • Partner with the relevant HC team and the Talent Acquisition CoE team to deliver consistent, value add services and provide regular communication to the business
  • Ensure consistent use of the Employee Value Proposition throughout the candidate lifecycle

Technical

  • Be the Business Units’ focal point for all matters in relation to the Talent Acquisition Operations Service delivery.
  • Support regular performance reviews with your respective clients/stakeholders to review workforce planning, performance, and escalation concerns
  • Ensure a consistent and exemplary candidate experience, covering the full candidate lifecycle (attraction, recruitment, pre-boarding) across all stages of the process
  • Review and analyse data and market intelligence to make service recommendations and shape the narrative around the service
  • Undertaking regular regional audit activity and qualitative reviews to ensure ongoing governance and quality performance is measured, monitored, and being implemented
  • Collaborate across the team to address problems to resolve issues, clarify or interpret complex information, and/or provide initial problem definitions and solutions
  • Work closely with your designated business unit to ensure the talent acquisition operations approach supports the inclusion and diversity strategy for each area. Including sourcing and talent pooling activities as well as driving a best practice approach to interview and selection.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to define resourcing strategies and plans that meet short to midterm client objectives and enable Talent Acquisition Operations to plan ahead
  • Be a subject matter expert of the recruitment process and Applicant Tracking System for your team
  • Ensure the teams populate all required components into required reports with data accuracy paramount in the process.
  • Ensure that the necessary recruitment trackers are sent to the relevant stakeholders at prescribed times
  • Ability to understand risk, exercise judgement and take independent action
  • Resolve escalated queries and issues and provide solutions for all incidents raised
  • Continually identify areas of process improvement and communicate these appropriately to the Talent Acquisition Leadership team.

People

  • Manage your respective team of Talent Acquisition Consultants (Recruiters) and Talent Acquisition Administrators, assure team motivation and flawless operations.
  • Ongoing supervision and development of the Talent Acquisition team, including setting objectives and work allocation
  • Develop and maintain pro-active and constructive relationships with the business clients by demonstrating an understanding of their business, and their requirements and setting expectations accordingly
  • Manage communication with key stakeholders in fast-moving, complex, and difficult environments

Compliance & Risk

  • Proactively manages risk by ensuring that Recruitment Policy is always updated and adhered to.
  • Identify and continue to solve for opportunities that enhance optimal efficiency without compromising on governance

Strategy

  • Provides input into the development of the annual TA strategy for MFC
  • Researches, recommends, and executes best practice in Recruitment and Selection as well as data and reporting
  • Determines the operational requirements of the practice, designs the process, and ensures that it is implemented.
  • Ensures process integration with other practices.

Requirements

  • 3+ years experience in managing service delivery teams preferably recruitment teams
  • Proven track record of establishing and managing a high-performing recruitment team
  • Strong understanding of technology and experience using talent acquisition systems, including Applicant Tracking, Candidate Relationship Management, social media, and other tools
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to build relationships at all levels and work in collaboration with other internal departments through virtual and face-to-face interaction.
  • Experience of developing SLAs/KPIs to enhance service delivery
