Job Description

Motus Car Rental is seeking a committed, professional and resilient individual who thrives on working in a fast paced environment to join their team, based at the Cape Town City Branch. The Fleet Supervisor will take complete ownership of the management and monitoring of all fleet related activities. Position Overview

To take complete ownership of the management and monitoring of all fleet-related duties, activities, administration, and processes with the aim of supporting fleet quality, readiness, and availability requirements. Innovative, Exploring, and forward thinking combined with introducing new methods, technology, and automation opportunities to enhance and improve existing procedures and processes.

Specific Role Responsibilities Job Outputs Fleet Management

  • Supervise daily tasks and performance of team members.
  • Provide up-fleeting and de-fleeting assistance.
  • Must be familiarized and become acquainted with the Fleeting and De-fleeting procedures as well as the roles and responsibilities.
  • General office administrative support i.e, reports etc.

Licensing and Registration Duties

  • Solely responsible for all new vehicle licensing and registration requirements.
  • Timeous management, coordination and submission of OEM distribution lists and birth certificates between OEM’s and the Licence and Registration vendor.
  • Daily reconciliation of licensing and registration documents as well as number plates received nationally.
  • Providing Regular updates and feedback to management and operations with regards to the progress status for the month
  • Maintain strong relationships with manufacturers, suppliers as well as customers both internal and external.

Management of E-Tags

  • Maintain a sound relationship with SANRAL.
  • Overall management of the E-Tag stock.
  • Assignment and de-assignment of E-Tags and manage related procedures.
  • Handle all E-Tag-related queries both internally and from SANRAL.

Capex Expenditure and OEM Orders

  • Supervise Monthly Capex Expenditure
  • Oversee and Approve OEM Orders against the Budgeted Capex and Quantities
  • Authenticate Quarterly Capex expenditure for sign off

Qualifications And Experience

Minimum Experience:

  • 2 years relevant advanced administration experience
  • 2 years relevant fleet administration experience including supervising a team
  • Financial background – beneficial

Minimum Qualification

  • Matric or equivalent NQF level 4 qualification.

Preferred Qualification

Relevant tertiary qualification at NQF5+ such as Fleet Management

Minimum Requirements

  • Code 8 driver’s license
  • Computer literate: Advanced level of proficiency Excel required is essential.
  • Working knowledge of Basic Conditions of Employment (BCEA).

Essential to note: The appointed person must be willing to be work weekends and overtime from time-to-time if required to do so.
