ABSA Bank Vacancies – Process Engineer

Job Description:

The Process Engineer would be accountable for interaction with various business/product owners for needs analysis on processes within Absa Life to assist on “as is” assessments and provide recommendations on the “to be” processes. This would incorporate facilitating, designing and documenting the process with the appropriate governance being followed in conjunction with Business. The role would also include participating in projects that drive improvements for the business.

Job Responsibilities:

• Compilation and implementation of standardised business process improvement and re-engineering methodologies.
• Assist in Strategic Business process management compilation and execution within Absa Life.
• Conduct pro-active detection of process bottle-necks and high level operational value chain.
• Ensure that processes and procedures as well as system designs are integrated into a single business solution.
• Undertake business process improvement initiatives aimed at improving efficiencies and effectiveness of operations.
• Apply scientific principles and business inputs to refine and re-engineer as-is business process (as well as newly to-be refined processes) into best scenario to-be processes to enhance customer experience and profitability.
• Apply various applicable Industrial / Systems Engineering principles in process constraints and opportunity identifications, as well as Solutioning.
• Deliver project process objectives to achieve desired quality and impact within time and budget.
• Provide quality control on items processed and ensure 100% quality maintained.
• Work closely with the other members to deliver outstanding performance with regard to the timeframes and quality.
• Maintain ongoing completion of relevant governance and compliance training.
• Contribute to an environment of mutual support by sharing knowledge with other team members.
• Understand, apply and ensure adherence to the relevant governance, risk policies and compliance procedures to activities undertaken.

Qualification & Experience:

Bachelor`s Degrees and Advanced Diplomas: Physical, Mathematical, Computer and Life Sciences (Required)
